Type of project in need for volunteers	The Oasis workshop for people with special needs is a paper recycling and candle making project in Beit Sahour. The Oasis provides opportunities for adults with mental disabilities in the Bethlehem area to engage in meaningful work and contribute positively to Palestinian society. The Oasis operates under the auspices of the Health Work Committees, a Palestinian nongovernmental health organization. The Oasis operates on the belief that each person whether disabled or not, has a unique value and can thus contribute particular talents and gifts to the building of society-at-large. Through creating an environment where people of differing intellectual capacity, social origin, religion, and culture can work together, The Oasis provides a foundation for the integration of people with disabilities into the local community.
